COVID Measures

Catalyst Psychology is currently offering face-to-face and telehealth sessions to help clients access assessment and therapy during the ongoing COVID situation. We also have a range of procedures to keep our clients safe during these stressful times.

We have been providing Telehealth sessions for clients over video conferencing software or telephone since March 2020. Our clients have found these to be highly effective and accessible, with many preferring to stay on telehealth for convenience and the comfort of having therapy in their own home. We have become very skilled at delivering evidenced-based but engaging therapy remotely. These sessions are available to all, including children, Private Health, NDIS, TAC and Medicare clients.

Face-to-face sessions are also an option. Catalyst Psychology and our rooms at Tyner Road Medical Centre have put in place a considerable range of hygiene and social distancing measures to ensure that our premises are safe and healthy. We follow DHHS workplace COVID procedures. DHHS currently requires Psychologists to wear masks while conducting assessments and therapy. They advise clients to wear masks too, unless they are under 12 years of age.

Our strong advice is not to wait for social distancing measures to change – it is likely to be some time before psychological assessment and therapy returns to pre-COVID conditions. If you are experiencing difficulties, it is better to get help earlier than wait as the issue may get more severe. Psychological assistance is helpful – even in ‘COVID normal’ times.
