Psychological Assessments

A psychology assessment can help you understand the strengths and needs of yourself or your child.

psychological assessment

A psychology assessment will clarify how to best assist yourself or your child in school, family or daily life. Many people find these assessments help them understand themselves further, which can be a path to empowerment, self-acceptance and more harmonious family lives. Psychology assessments may also be called cognitive assessments, cognitive-educational assessments or IQ assessments.

Each assessment is tailored to the individual and the reason for the assessment. Kirsty will prepare detailed reports with specific recommendations for you, or your child and their school. Reports can also be used for diagnosis, NDIS funding or review applications, or Department of Education Special Consideration applications.

The following assessments are offered for people aged 6-18 years:

Kirsty Hildebrandt

Dr Kirsty Hildebrandt

Dr Kirsty Hildebrandt has been conducting assessments since 1999. She is known for her thorough, professional assessments. She follows Australian guidelines for the assessment of neurodiversity and takes a holistic approach where-ever possible. This means it is not necessary to get different assessments for different disorders – Kirsty is able to consider the presence of multiple issues at once. For example, she can assess for ADHD and Autism in one assessment.

Kirsty is able to put children and teens at their ease while testing. Many assessments are conducted via iPads, which makes testing more appealing. They are a fun, interactive and engaging way to complete assessments.
