Kirsty Hildebrandt

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor with over 25 years of experience. For the past 12 years, I have enjoyed running my private practice in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. Currently I work in Bayswater. I love helping children, young people, young adults, and parents improve their lives and wellbeing. I was privileged to work in secondary schools, hospitals and public mental health services before starting to my private clinic.

Therapy

I focus on helping my clients feel happier, calmer, and more confident in managing challenges. Psychological therapy also supports you or your child experience greater levels of energy, enthusiasm and satisfaction with life and relationships. Evidence has shown therapy can assist children and teens with their development, thinking and learning, as well as improving mental health. Assessment

Alongside therapy,  I have extensive experience in conducting high quality Psychology Assessments for children (5 yrs+) and adolescents. These assessments help identify specific learning difficulties (e.g., Dyslexia, Dyspraxia), IQ or Intelligence, and Neurodevelopmental
Disorders such as ADHD and Autism. I regularly assist clients with applications for NDIS funding, including conducting Functional Assessments for NDIS. Psychology/medical evidence reports for Disability Support Pension applications are also available. I follow
Australian guidelines for the assessment of Autism and ADHD.

Supervision

Since 2004, I’ve had the pleasure of supervising Provisional and Registered Psychologists, as well as School Counsellors. They work across private practice, schools, not-for-profits and the public sector. I have also run training and workshops with parents, Registrar Psychiatrists, Educators and more to support their work with children and young people.
